"Etcéteras" was the expression that illustrated Amaral’s artistic-existential path: an audacious eclecticism, a protean imagination, and a constellation of heterogeneous references.
Jim Amaral: Etcéteras was a major retrospective exhibition surveying over six decades of artistic production. Bringing together more than 250 works, the exhibition offered a comprehensive reading of Amaral’s evolving visual language across drawing, painting, sculpture, assemblage, and object-making.
Conceived as both homage and recontextualization, the exhibition unfolded as a non-linear constellation of forms and ideas—foregrounding Amaral’s enduring investigation into the body, myth, eros, and metaphysical ambiguity.
